I'm a photographer based in Liverpool in the UK, and for the most part specialise in landscape photography. Primarily, I believe this choice stems from a love of the outdoors, and my favourite 'photographic equipment' remains my walking boots.

Whether or not I took up photography simply as an excuse to get outdoors and visit fantastic locations up and down the UK (and further afield on occasion) is still a matter of some debate. Regardless, as a result I've managed to drop by some of the countries most beautiful and atmospheric spots, and in many cases have written up a guide to that location here; it's no coincidence that this sites tagline is the Ansel Adams quote "A good photograph is knowing where to stand."

In May 2009, I gained a Licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society.

I'm happy to announce that I've had an image included in the 2010 edition of the Royal Photographic Society's 'Portfolio' series.
